FACT SHEET
Driver
Training Centre is the first
training provider in the UK outside of the trial scheme to be approved
by the Driving Standards Agency as an accredited LGV/PCV licence acquisition
centre.
Our
training facilities are based entirely within the DSA test centre
at Hastings, and are
unsurpassed
anywhere; this privilege enables us to offer the very best training
and facilities
to
pass the test, first time generally.
The national average pass rate for category C & C+E is currently
52% approximately; we are achieving 94%,
no mean feat!
The
costs involved in gaining an LGV or PCV licence are not cheap, and
unfortunately there
are
no short cuts, the facts are if you are trained to the correct level
of competence you
WILL
PASS the driving test first time.
If you want to drive articulated or draw bar vehicles you have to
pass category C first, a general misconception that you have to wait
2 years before gaining C+E entitlement is incorrect, there is no restriction
on this, most of our customers achieve both categories within 3 weeks!
A
future in transport? Driver shortages nationally are 40,000
although official statistics estimate this to increase to 100,000
by October 2003, future legislation and general standards within the
industry are changing rapidly, making a career in transport an encouraging
proposition. Employers desperately want competent professional drivers.
